Dunedin Botanical Gardens Plant Nursery and Propagation Facility

Completion Date: 2014
The Project
The new propagation and nursery facilities on Lovelock Avenue are the biggest investment in the Dunedin Botanic Garden’s history. Soon after the turn of the century the Dunedin City Council identified the old plant nursery facility was both ageing beyond repair and inefficient. The environmental management systems became less energy efficient and inadequate to produce the variety of plants needed by the Garden.
The new facility features a new potting and propagation area, office spaces & teaching spaces and a glasshouse which hosts 8 fully automated habitats.
This complex project involved intricate detailing and flashing work and we are very proud of the end result.
